For the past ten years, Daryl and Brett have been supplying all major restaurants, from Ballito to Kloof, with fresh fish. Both are avid sportsmen, who have achieved national colours for paddling in sprinting, wild water and surf ski disciplines. The two also fish competitively.
Their grandfather, Leo King, passed on his passion for fishing and almost from the time they could walk, they were casting alongside him. Their love of the outdoors and respect for the ocean set the foundation for their business venture.
Their dream of opening their own retail fish shop became a reality when they won a boat in a fishing competition, which they sold to set up shop on 1 May 2010. And thanks to the great fresh products on offer and support of loyal customers, Bartho’s Fish Co. has continued to grow year on year!
Bartho’s is renowned for its export quality FRESH FISH such as tuna and salmon, but you can also find a variety of quality frozen seafoods, ranging from crab, crayfish, langoustines, scallops, mussels and calamari.
